GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) - It’s another ambitious goal for the Greater Ottawa County United Way.
Those attending a luncheon in Grand Haven as part of the Day of Caring kickoff to the annual fundraising campaign were told that 2.3 million dollars is the target number for a third straight year. The agency has failed to reach that lofty height in the past, falling short by just over 65 thousand dollars in 2013, but the 2.2 million collected represented a fourth straight year of growth for the local United Way. Over 800 total volunteers are donating time and energy to 60 project sites across the county today. The campaign runs through March 27th.
