UNDATED (WHTC) -- In an effort to create outdoor recreation opportunities for veterans with disabilities and other citizens with health challenges, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources is joining with several partners, including Camp Liberty, Inc., Zero Day, and Michigan United Conservation Clubs. The initiative is titled “Operation Freedom Outdoors” and it will connect Camp Liberty – an inclusive recreation center for veterans with disabilities – with enhanced outdoor opportunities on the adjacent Sharonville State Game Area. The public is invited to tour Camp Liberty, located in Brooklyn, Michigan, during a free open house on Sunday, September 22nd. Visit camp-liberty.org for more information.
