UNDATED (WHTC) - After nearly perfect conditions enjoyed throughout the Lakeshore last week, things are a little stormy east of the Holland area as this work week began. A line of strong storms blew through Jenison and Grandville just before dawn on Monday, causing power outages among thousands of Consumers Energy customers, and compelling officials to call for two-hour delays in classes at Jenison Public Schools and the Ottawa Area Intermediate School District complex. Forecasters are predicting weather more in keeping with late July instead of early September through mid-week, with a feel of autumn in the air by Friday.
