UNDATED (WHTC) - The eighth annual Holland/Zeeland Community Labor Day Truck Parade is this morning. Nearly 60 large trucks from various Lakeshore-based companies will caravan from downtown Zeeland at 9:15 AM through downtown Holland before parking outside of the Holland Civic Center, where there will be a reception with free ice cream, hot dogs and other items. Organizers say that this growing event spotlights the productivity and success of Tulip City area businesses.
In addition, the sixth annual Paw Paw Bridge walk in Zeeland takes place when the Truck Parade leaves, while the 15th annual Labor Day Bridge Walk and Pancake Breakfast across the Blue Star Highway span connecting Saugatuck and Douglas is at 9 AM. Organizers of both of these strolls patterned their events after the Mackinac Bridge walk.
