UNDATED (WHTC) -- Big trucks were on the roads of Holland and Zeeland on Labor Day. Hundreds of people lined Main Avenue where the parade began. Both the Holland and Zeeland Police Departments escorted the parade. Then the parade travel down Chicago Drive to East 8th Street, which was also lined with hundreds of people. The Community Labor Day Truck Parade and Ice Cream Social got its start in 2006 and has evolved into a highly anticipated community event. The event was created to honor and celebrate the products and employees of Holland and Zeeland area businesses.
