NORTON SHORES, MI (WHTC) -- Saturday marks six months since the disappearance of a young woman from the gas station convenience store where she was working. Police say 26-year-old Jessica Heeringa was allegedly abducted from the Sternberg Road Exxon gas station where she was working alone on April 26th. Norton Shores Police Chief Dan Shaw, whose department has been heading up the investigation from the start, says despite thousands of tips and a multi-jurisdictional task force, they haven’t yet made a dent in the case. A candlelight vigil is being held on Saturday from 6 to 9 P.M. at the strip mall neighboring the gas station on Sternberg Road. The reward for clues leading to Jessica stands at more than $15,000. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Norton Shores Police Department at 231-733-2691.
