JAMESTOWN, MI (WHTC) -- A two vehicle accident in Jamestown Township Thursday morning put one driver in the hospital. The accident happened at 8th Avenue and Byron Road around 7:15 a.m. The first vehicle, driven by 31-year-old Michael Syswerda of Middleville was northbound on 8th Avenue. He had stopped at the stop sign at Byron Road and was going through the intersection when he broad-sided the second vehicle, driven by 64-year-old Lois Butler of Caledonia. Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department Lt Steve Austin said that Syswerda was northbound on 8th Avenue. He stopped at the Stop sign. As he proceeded through the intersection, he broadsided Butler's vehicle in the driver side door. Butler's vehicle rolled a few times and was taken to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital with serious injuries.
