HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) -- Holland Police and emergency crews were busy this morning.  Two separate accidents involving pedestrians occurred within less than three hours of each other.  The first was around 7:15 a.m. A 14-year-old female Holland High Student was walking westbound on 16th Street.  She was in the process of crossing Van Raalte Avenue.  She was in the crosswalk when she was hit by a vehicle driven by a 58-year-old Holland woman making a left turn from eastbound 16th Street onto northbound Van Raalte.  The woman was cited for Failing to Yield the Right of Way.  The girl was taken to Holland Community Hospital.  She was treated for minor injuries and released.  The second accident happened just before 9:30 a.m. when a 53-year-old Douglas woman was on 8th Street and tried to cross Waverly Road.  A 55-year-old Saugatuck woman was turning left from 8th Street to Waverly Road.  The woman struck by the vehicle suffered multiple injuries and her condition is not known at this time.
