High School Football Regular Season Ends Tonight


UNDATED (WHTC) - The regular season of high school football along the Lakeshore concludes this evening, with two teams already assured of state tournament play, but still vying for conference crowns on our stations. Zeeland West hosts Byron Center for the OK Green title on 1450 WHTC and http://whtc.com/listen-live at 6:40 PM. Saugatuck visits Gobles for the SAC North championship on 92.7 The Van and http://927thevan.com/listen-live, also at 6:40 PM. Two other teams need victories on the road to lock up playoff berths, as West Ottawa travels to Hudsonville, and Zeeland East is at Kenowa Hills. The other three contests have Holland at Hamilton, Holland Christian at Unity Christian, and Fennville entertaining Bloomingdale.


Martin St. Louis’ goal at the 1:16 mark of overtime lifted Tampa Bay past the visiting Blackhawks last night, 6-5. Chicago welcomes Minnesota to the United Center tomorrow evening.

The Red Wings are home to the New York Rangers tomorrow night. Action on 1450 WHTC from Hockeytown begins at 6:40 PM.


The Grand Rapids Griffins entertains the Charlotte Checkers in American Hockey League action at Van Andel Arena this evening.
