OTTAWA COUNTY, MI (WHTC) -- A man arrested for the robbery of the AJ Party Store on Felch Street last Thursday remains in jail. The man, 28-year-old Leandrew Gaston of Holland, allegedly robbed the store at knife-point. The clerk was able to give a description of Gaston and the vehicle that he was driving. A Sheriff’s deputy heard the description and remembered the vehicle from an earlier traffic stop. Police located Gaston and his vehicle later that afternoon in the area of 16th Street and Country Club Avenue. He was arraigned last week for armed robbery, which is a felony and could result in a sentence of life in prison. Bond was set at $300-thousand. Gaston has many prior convictions as an adult, some of them violent, and also has a juvenile criminal record.
