HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, MI (WHTC) -- The Holland Charter Township Board of Trustees Meeting on Thursday saw adoption of a resolution to begin charging $25 to residents who bounce a check or have a rejected electronic transaction. Macatawa Bank charges the Township $10 in fees for a bad transaction and the Township will add a $15 service charge. Twelve year tax exemptions were approved for five companies, including Magna Mirrors of America, Inc, who also received a tax abatement from the City of Holland earlier in the week. The 2013 budget was amended to include a .15 percent increase in tax revenues and an increase in building department license and permit income. The next meeting is scheduled for November 7th.
