HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) -- Rental Housing Inspection fees were on the agenda but as City Council was two members short, Mayor ProTemp Robert Vande Vusse and 3rd Ward Councilman Brian Burch, were not in attendance. Phil Meyer, Director of the CNS, said that after hearing from several landlords at last week’s meeting, the proposal has been changed a bit. The initial inspection fee is currently $75 and further study suggests it remain. Changes would be made to the re-inspection fee for properties not up to code. Council member Dave Hoekstra recued himself from the discussion as he has rental properties in Holland. The motion was tabled and put on the agenda for a special meeting next week, October 23rd. The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. in council chambers.
