PARK TOWNSHIP, MI (WHTC) -- In an effort to develop a future vision for the area around the Ottawa County Fairgrounds, Park Township Airport and the township hall, the Park Township Board of Trustees voted to hire a consultant to work with township leaders and residents to develop such a plan. The vote was 6-1 in favor of hiring Grand Rapids-based firm M.C. Smith and Associates with funding of up to 15-thousand dollars to work on the Park Central Sub-Area Plan. A study committee made up of board members, township residents and representatives from the fairgrounds and airport will work with the consultant in developing a proposed design concept for what the area might look like in the future.
