HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - The Tulip Time Festival has landed an entertainment coup.
Holland’s signature event announced prior to this evening’s “Running of the Tulips” fundraising run at Windmill Island Gardens that legendary comedian and pioneering entertainer Bill Cosby will be headlining two shows at Central Wesleyan Auditorium on May 9th. The first black lead in a network television series when he co-starred with the late Robert Culp on NBC’s “I Spy” in the mid-1960’s, Cosby will be remembered for his highly-successful “The Cosby Show” in the 1980’s, as well as creating the “Fat Albert” cartoon series. Tickets are priced at 58 dollars per person, and go on sale online and at the festival’s 8th Street offices on November 5th. Other acts include the touring Second City comedic troupe, the Bangarang Circus and Fiddle Fire at the Knickerbocker Theatre, as well as New Odyssey at the Haworth Inn.
Tulip Time runs from May 3-10.
