Tough Sunday for Lions, Bears & Bulls; Good for Red Wings & Pistons

UNDATED (WHTC) - It was a Sunday filled of mixed results in sports for Detroit's and Chicago's teams.

At Ford Field, visiting Tampa Bay picked off four Matthew Stafford passes, while Mike Glennon's 85-yard TD toss to Tiquan Anderson in the first minute of the fourth quarter was the winning play in the Buccaneers' 24-21 victory over the Lions. Detroit hosts Green Bay on Thanksgiving Day, with coverage on 1450 WHTC at 11:30 AM.

St. Louis scored three first quarter touchdowns and went on to beat the visiting Bears, 42-21. Chicago travels to Minnesota next Sunday.

Monday Night Football at 8 PM on 1450 WHTC has San Francisco visiting Washington.


Johan Franzen's goal at the 8:17 mark of the third period broke a 1-1 tie, enabling the Red Wings to win at Buffalo, 3-1. Detroit is home to Boston on Wednesday evening, with broadcast time on 1450 WHTC at 7:10 PM.

The Chicago Blackhawks skate in Edmonton on Monday night.


Rodney Stuckey's 27-point performance helped the Pistons to win in Brooklyn, 109-97. Detroit welcomes Milwaukee to the Palace of Auburn Hills on Monday evening.

Jaren Dudley tossed in 21 points as the LA Clippers defeated the visiting Bulls, 121-82. Chicago travels to Utah on Monday night.


In state major college basketball: Michigan was upset by Charlotte, 63-61; Detroit lost in triple overtime to Stony Brook, 104-102; and Oakland fell to St. Francis, 68-62.
