UNDATED (WHTC) -- Some good news today for those who have been without electricity since Sunday’s severe weather caused power outages for some 300-thousand people in Michigan. Consumers Energy has been able to move up restoration times with most customers having service by Thursday. In the Lakeshore area, power has been restored to the Harbor Humane Society. With the power back on, volunteers and staffers will have an easier time taking care of the animals. They’ve been cleaning cages with bottled water and putting blankets over the cages to keep close to 300 animals warm. The Harbor Humane Society is still in need of volunteers to help with the laundry and walk the dogs and of course, donations of supplies or cash are always welcome.
