HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - More than 57 hundred total customers of Consumers Energy in Allegan and Ottawa counties were still without power at midday today, about 48 hours after strong winds swept across southern Michigan and the Upper Midwest. Around 107 thousand of the nearly 286 thousand customers statewide of the Jackson-based utility who had their electricity knocked out by the spring-like storm hadn’t had restoration yet. Consumers officials say that it may not be until Saturday before all of those affected can get back on the power grid.
