LANSING (WKZO) -- A bill which would have required Michigan drivers to replace their license plates every ten years is dead in the state Senate. The legislation passed the House easily in October, but conservative Republicans in the Senate don't believe such a move is needed. Those who supported the bill look at the vast amount of rusted out license plates dating to the 1990s that cannot easily be read by police.
