A DIFFERENT UNIFORM, A DIFFERENT CITY, THE SAME REACTION: Current Pittsburgh Pirates catcher Russell Martin was a New York Yankee when he celebrated after scoring against the Detroit Tigers in the third inning of Game 4 in their MLB American League Division Series baseball playoffs in Detroit, Michigan, October 4, 2011. UNDATED (WHTC) - Russell Martin's single in the 10th inning drove in the only run of the game, as Pittsburgh blanked the visiting Tigers last night, 1-0. Detroit opens a three-game series at Baltimore this evening. Coverage on 1450 WHTC begins at 6:40 PM.

Travis Wood tossed six innings of five-hit, six-strikeout baseball, and slugged a grand slam home run in the fourth inning to boot, as the Cubs beat the visiting White Sox yesterday, 8-3. The Cubs stay at Wrigley Field to open up a three-game series versus Arizona this afternoon, while the White Sox leave Chicago to start a three-game set in Oakland this evening.

Jeff Holm's sacrifice fly in the eighth inning plated the winning run, as the Whitecaps rallied past visiting Great Lakes last night, 4-3. West Michigan is back on the road this evening, opening up a four-game series in Fort Wayne against the Tincaps.

Game four of the AHL Calder Cup Western Conference Finals is tonight at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City, where the Barons lead the visiting Grand Rapids Griffins in the best-of-seven series, two games to one.
