UNDATED (WHTC)  -- The Tigers fell behind early to Minnesota, losing by a score of 3-2.  The end of Detroit's four-game win streak also closed a 10-game losing streak for Minnesota, which has been sputtering offensively.  The Tigers take on Minnesota again today.  Coverage from Comerica Park on 1450 WHTC is at 12:40 PM.

Jake Peavy tossed a complete game six-hitter as the White Sox sank the Marlins, 2-1.  Peavy allowed only a ninth-inning solo homer to Derek Dietrich in his sixth win.  White Sox are in Chicago and host the Marlins today.

The Reds scored four runs in the sixth inning to rally for a 5-2 win over the Cubs.  Anthony Rizzo and Alfonso Soriano knocked in a run apiece in the third for Chicago, which has dropped a season-high six straight.  Cubs try again today in Cincinatti.

Yorfrank Lopez and Brennan Smith combined to allow just one run as the Whitecaps took advantage of several offensive opportunities in a 6-1 victory over Lake County.  West Michigan (22-24) has won consecutive games for the first time since May 15 and 16.  The Whitecaps take on Lake County again today.

Blackhawks Hold Off Red Wings Andrew Shaw scored twice to lead the Blackhawks in a 4-1 win over the Red Wings in Game Five of their Western Conference semifinal series.  Jonathan Toews [[ tayves ]] and Bryan Bickell also lit the lamp for Chicago, which still trails three games to two in the best-of-seven set.  Corey Crawford stopped 24 shots in the victory.  Daniel Cleary had the lone goal for Detroit, which will host Game Six on Monday night.  Jimmy Howard turned away 41 shots in defeat.
