ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC) - During yesterday’s meeting, the Allegan County Board of Commissioners approved up to 1.1 million dollars to upgrade the county’s thirty-year-old current central dispatch system. The allocation will go towards new mobile data terminals, a new phone system, equipment to record 911 calls, and batteries for backing up transmitters and receivers when there are power outages. Not all of the money may be spent, though.
