LANSING (WKZO) -- Former Congressman Mark Schauer of Battle Creek says he's getting close to making a decision on a gubernatorial run. The Democrat is being pushed to toss his hat into the ring for his party's nomination next year, and tells Lansing's MIRS News he's convinced the state needs new leadership. Schauer is also a former state Senate Minority Leader and several recent polls have found he matches up well against Governor Rick Snyder.
