HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - A Lakeshore tradition may have just ended last Saturday with the conclusion of the 84th Tulip Time Festival, but another began this morning with the opening of the Holland Farmers Market. About 50 vendors will line 8th Street from Pine to Maple Avenues every Wednesday and Saturday mornings, peddling locally grown agricultural and commercial products, and there will be workshops at the Holland Civic Center on Saturdays dealing with a variety of issues. Candy Todd is beginning her 20th year as Marketmaster, and she says that, after last year's weather conditions wiped out most of the state fruit crops, vendors are anxious to get selling. The Farmers’ Market will be held twice weekly through mid-December.
