HOLLAND (WHTC) — The City of Holland, working with Escape Ministries, is looking for partnerships and commitments to sponsor a summer jobs program for teens through Holland Youth Connections.
HYC exists “to give young people the opportunity to develop work skills, earn money responsibly, and make valuable connections with peers and adults,” according to promotional material
In its first year, 2013, HYC drew just 12 teens, but in 2014, 80 showed up to work. Last year the program saw 178 teen workers.
