DETROIT (WKZO) -- The city of Detroit could be owed a combined total of almost 25-million dollars from eleven organizations that received HUD loans.  Reportedly the borrowers have struggled to make their payments, in some cases, since the recession in 2008.

Council Member Ken Cockrel, Junior, says, "we're basically telling people who have taken out these loans, oh don't worry about it just pay us when you get the money together and the economy turns around.  We'll never get it."
