UNDATED (WHTC) - Alex Avila's two-run homer in the top of the ninth inning enabled the Tigers to win at Houston last night, 4-3. The series at Minute Maid Park continues this evening. Coverage on 1450 WHTC begins at 6:45 PM.

Zack Cozart's single in the eighth inning drove in what proved to be the decisive run, as visiting Cincinnati held off the Cubs yesterday, 6-5. The series at Wrigley Field in Chicago continues this afternoon.

Last night's White Sox game at Kansas City was rained out, necessitating a rescheduled contest for Monday afternoon. The series at Kauffman Stadium will now begin this evening.

Jorge Polanco had three hits, including two doubles, and drove in three runs, as visiting Cedar Rapids outscored the Whitecaps yesterday, 8-6. West Michigan hosts Quad Cities to open up a three-game series at Fifth Third Ballpark this evening.
