UNDATED (WHTC) - Don Kelly’s RBI single ignited a four-run 14th inning for the Tigers, who went on to win in Houston last night, 7-3. The series at Minute Maid Park continues this evening. Coverage on 1450 WHTC is at 7:45 PM.

Yonder Alonso’s RBI single ignited a four-run eighth inning for San Diego, as the visiting Padres went on to beat the Cubs yesterday, 4-2. Chicago hosts Cincinnati at Wrigley Field this afternoon.

Tyler Flowers’ three-run homer in the sixth inning enabled the White Sox to win in Texas last night, 3-1. Chicago opens a three-game series in Kansas City against the Royals this evening.

Danry Vasquez’ single in the bottom of the 10th inning enabled the Whitecaps to defeat visiting Cedar Rapids last night, 4-3. West Michigan goes for the series sweep at Fifth Third Ballpark this afternoon.

Gustav Nyquist’s goal at the 1:21 mark of overtime lifted the Red Wings to victory at Anaheim last night, 5-4. The NHL playoff series is tied at a game apiece, with game three in Detroit tomorrow evening.

The Blackhawks welcome Minnesota to the United Center tonight, with Chicago leading that playoff series, one game to none.

The Griffins can advance in the AHL playoffs with a victory this evening against visiting Houston at Van Andel Arena, with Grand Rapids leading the best-of-five series, two games to one.

Joe Johnson joined Deron Williams and Brook Lopez in scoring 17 points apiece as visiting Brooklyn beat the Bulls last night, 95-92. The NBA playoff series is tied at three games apiece heading into tomorrow night’s decisive game seven at the Barclays Center.
