SOUTH HAVEN, MI (WHTC) - It didn’t take long for first responders to hit the waters of Lake Michigan along the Lakeshore and make their first rescue of the season yesterday. South Haven Emergency Service crews were dispatched to the north beach area to save a kite boarder from Utah who got tangled in lines and fell off of his surfboard. John Duda was wearing a wet suit and a floatation device, which helped him stay afloat until help arrived. He wasn’t hurt.
