SPRING LAKE, MI (WHTC) - A 56-year-old Grand Rapids man is recovering at Spectrum-Butterworth Hospital from burns suffered in an explosion and fire at a Spring Lake marina. Authorities believe that Michael Rosencrance was doing electrical work on a stored boat late on Saturday morning when he lit a torch that ignited the blaze in an 80 thousand square-foot building at the North Shore Marina. Two others with Rosencrance at the time escaped. Crews from five departments needed more than four hours to bring the blaze under control. No firefighters were injured. Coast Guard crews were able to contain oil runoff from flowing into the Grand River.
