JENISON, MI (WHTC) - A three-vehicle pileup west of Jenison yesterday afternoon hospitalized a total of five persons. According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Jason Kik, 31-year-old William Osterink of Hudsonville was driving eastbound on Baldwin Street near 36th Avenue, while 66-year-old Daniel Martinovich of Grandville and 34-year-old Kimberly Newenhouse of Hudsonville were driving in the opposite direction. Osterink lost control of his vehicle on the slushy, icy roadway, skidded across the center turn lane and into the two westbound lanes, where his vehicle struck the other two vechicles. All three drivers, along with a child in both the Osterink and Newenhouse vehicles, were taken to various hospitals in Kent County for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
