HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - In an appearance on WHTC's "Talk of the Town" program on Monday, State House Rep. Roger Victory (R-Hudsonville) told host Juke Van Oss, in a question about funding state road repairs to the tune of 1.2 billion dollars, as the Governor stated in his "State of the State" address in January, that "if you use the roads, you need to contribute to the roads. We have to make sure that every tax dollar that is being taken in is being used efficently. We also have to see what other alternative funding methods can be done. As I look at it, we need a sustainable system (to fund road maintanence in Michigan.)"
Victory and State Senator Arlan Meekhof (R-West Olive) hold a town hall meeting on the topic of state transportation funding at the Georgetown Township Hall (1515 Baldwin Street, Jenison) on Tuesday, March 19, from 7 to 8 PM.
