VALLEY TWP., MI (WHTC) - Although there was evidence to indicate that there was a shooting, investigators are still awaiting the results of an autopsy today on the body of a 37-year-old man found at a Valley Township home on Saturday afternoon before determining a cause of death. Jody Ray Snyder hadn't been seen since Friday at the residence on 122nd Avenue near 41st Street, off of the M-89/M-40 junction between Allegan and Hamilton, when a family member checked in on him the next day and made the discovery. Sheriff's deputies interviewed Snyder's landlord at length over the weekend, as eviction proceedings were ongoing at the time of the incident, but no arrests were initially made. The matter remains under investigation, and any tips to the Allegan Co. Sheriff's Department or Allegan County's Silent Observer (855-745-3686) are welcome.
