HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) - The Ottawa County Health Department released new data last week about teenaged pregnancy, showing a continuing, declining trend. Based on numbers collected by the state Department of Community Health, the pregnancy rate for girls aged 15 to 19 are down 29 percent over a four-year span, from 397 in 2007 to 283 in 2011, the most recent year such stats are available. A variety of reasons were cited for the decline.
