TALLMADGE TOWNSHIP (WHTC) - A 16-year-old Tallmadge Township boy who was shot while apparently playing Russian Roulette with a friend has died. Brandon Kuiper died Friday at a Grand Rapids hospital, two days after he was shot in the face. Prosecutors have upgraded charges against 18-year-old Richard Usher Jr., who allegedly shot Kuiper, to manslaughter. He had been arraigned initially on an attempted manslaughter charge Thursday. Usher is being held on 200-thousand dollars bond in the Ottawa County jail.
