U.S. House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Rep. Sander Levin (D-MI) speaks during the Reuters Financial Regulation Summit in Washington

DETROIT (WKZO) -- The announcement that 78-year-old U.S. Senator Carl Levin will retire at the end of his term in 2015 has some speculating about whether others in his age group will follow suit.  The answer from at least two legislators is a resounding no.

Eighty-six year old U.S. Representative John Dingell and Levin's 81-year-old brother, Congressman Sander Levin, both say they're planning on running again.  Dingell has held his seat since 1955, making him the longest serving member in the House. Congressman Levin has held his position since 1983.
