GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) - The first-degree child abuse trial of Ryan Kupres continues in Ottawa County Circuit Court. The 28-year-old Jenison man is accused of injuring his then-five-month-old daughter last March. Authorities claim that a brain injury and broken bones suffered by Layla Kupres were caused by her father. Kupres already has a prior conviction for a similar charge involving a son. Closing arguments in this case are expected later today
