HAMILTON, MI (WHTC) - Parents and residents in Hamilton Community Schools are asked to attend a public forum, scheduled for tonight, on a proposal for moving fifth grade students into a separate wing of the Hamilton Middle School building by the fall of 2014. District officials say overcrowding at four elementary schools is the biggest reason for shifting more than 200 fifth graders. State-mandated full-day kindergarten is also a factor in the proposal.
