HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - A pre-Tulip Time event has been scheduled by festival organizers. To honor the impending abdication of Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, the festival will stage a “Queen’s Day Criterium” through the streets of downtown Holland on April 28^th, two days before the 75-year-old monarch steps down. A criterium is a closed-course bicycle race that will award a total of six thousand dollars in prize money to competitors.
