Chix, Indians Advance in March Magic; Wings host Avs at Joe Tonight


UNDATED (WHTC) - The state high school boys’ basketball tournament began last night with district first-round action. Zeeland East won at Holland, 45-39; West Ottawa lost at Hudsonville, 62-50; Zeeland West fell to Allendale at Hamilton, 64-52; Saugatuck was victorious at Muskegon Western Michigan Christian, 72-65; and Black River succumbed to visiting North Muskegon, 65-43. Tonight in the state high school girls’ basketball tournament regional semifinals, Hamilton meets Ionia at Middleville Thornapple-Kellogg.
