HOLLAND (WHTC) - Hope College hosts Wheaton tonight at DeVos Fieldhouse in a first-round game in the NCAA Division III women’s basketball tournament. The Flying Dutch, who shared the MIAA championship with Calvin, then beat the Knights last Saturday in Grand Rapids to win the conference tournament, take a 26-1 record into the contest. The Knights, led by MIAA Most Valuable Player and Holland Christian graduate Carissa Verkaik, lost to the Tommies in overtime in last year’s sectional final, missing out on an opportunity to play in the women’s Final Four at DeVos.
