UNDATED (WHTC) - A couple of municipal entities along the Lakeshore are holding meetings today.
Among the items on the agenda for this afternoon’s Ottawa County Board of Commissioners meeting are a couple involving the county’s health department, with approval of a new branding logo that is in keeping with the MI-Ottawa theme, and honoring departing Mental Health Executive Director Michael Brashears. The board is also expected to approve two separate state grant agreements involving the new Grand River Park.
Meanwhile, the wording of a proposed ordinance amendment that would allow residential beekeeping in the City of Holland should be endorsed by the city’s Planning Commission this evening. Some local homeowners burdened by a number of bees and yellow jackets want to turn that nuisance into a hobby, but current local laws prohibit this practice. The amendment would need to be approved by City Council before it takes effect.
