LANSING (WKZO) -- Michigan's unemployment rate in May remained flat with April at 8.4-percent. The Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget reports total employment was up by 24-thousand compared to a month ago, while the number of unemployed workers rose by four-thousand. The state continues to have a higher jobless rate than the national average, which sits at 7.6-percent.
