UNDATED (WHTC) -- In an effort to increase trade and investment opportunities for Michigan, Governor Rick Snyder is on his first mission as governor to the Middle East. It’s his fifth since taking office. Snyder’s full agenda of meetings with business executives and government leaders included him meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to increase trade and investment opportunities between Michigan and Israel. Snyder also met with Israel’s Minister of Economy Naftali Bennet where a letter of intent was signed to establish bilateral cooperation in industrial research and development that sets up the framework for the future between companies in both Michigan and Israel. The mission is at the invitation of the Israeli government and hosted by the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit.
