HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) -- A two vehicle accident Saturday afternoon sent one person to the hospital in serious condition. The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department reports that the accident occurred around 4 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of Aniline Ave and Douglas Ave in Holland Township. Sergeant Chris Koster says 23-year-old Kayla Sisson was southbound on Aniline Ave and did not yield the right of way to a vehicle, driven by 70-year-old Carolyn Drew, who was westbound on Douglas Ave. One person, 32-year-old Calvin Shields, who was in the back seat and not wearing a seatbelt, suffered serious injuries after being ejected from the car. Carolyn Drew was taken to Holland Community with minor injuries. Kayla Sisson was not injured. All three people are Holland residents. The accident remains under investigation.
