Porcello Blanks Twins; Cubs & Caps Win; Griffins Fail to Sweep


UNDATED (WHTC) - Rick Porcello tossed seven innings of two-hit, five-strikeout, shutout baseball, as the Tigers blanked the Twins in Minnesota last night, 4-0. The series at Target Field in Minneapolis continues this evening, with coverage on 1450 WHTC at 6:50 PM.

David DeJesus' three-run triple capped a decisive four-run second inning for the Cubs, who went on to beat the Mets in New York last night, 6-3. The series at Citi Field in Queens continues this afternoon.

Josè Altuve's RBI single capped a two-run second inning for Houston, and the Astros held off the visiting White Sox the rest of the way last night, 2-1. The series at Minute Maid Park continues this evening.

Game two of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals is tonight at Chicago's United Center, where the Blackhawks lead visiting Boston, one game to none.
