LANSING (WKZO) -- A House committee has passed legislation that would allow state officials to dissolve several financially troubled school districts. Late Wednesday, the committee passed a bill that would allow officials to dissolve the Inkster and Buena Vista school districts and merge them with neighboring districts. Lawmakers are trying to fast-track the bill because they fear the districts may not have enough money to open in September or remain open for an entire school year.
