HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - The Lakeshore escaped relatively unharmed after storms blew through overnight. Although a flood warning was in effect through 5 AM, there were no reports of injuries or serious property damage in the immediate Holland area, and outside of a pocket of Consumers Energy customers north of Zeeland, there were no major power outages, although several thousand residences and businesses in the Jenison area and south of a line from Fennville through Allegan to Martin were also in the dark for a time. According to Consumers Energy spokesman Roger Morgenstern, crews may not restore power to several thousand of its customers who lost their electricity until Friday afternoon.
