HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - An altercation that could have been more violent than it was led to the arrest of three persons at a Holland apartment building on Tuesday. Public Safety officers were called to the unit in the 400 block of Stratford Way just before 12 Noon on a report that two neighbors of the victim walked into the residence, brandishing a handgun. No shots were fired from the weapon as the men, described initially as Caucasians in the early 30’s, left the unit without taking any items, and without injuring the victim. Several other units were evacuated as a precaution while detectives eventually captured the two suspects without incident, along with a 23-year-old woman who allegedly lied to officers during the investigation. The weapon involved was also recovered.
On Wednesday, 30-year-old Jason Scott Spencer was arraigned on various charges stemming from the incident, along with those from outstanding warrants on unrelated matters. He could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted of the new charges, and remains in the Ottawa County Jail on five thousand dollars bond. Charges on the other two suspects are pending.
