UNDATED (WHTC) -- A Bill approved by the House Tax Policy Committee on Wednesday could help disabled veterans in Michigan if it gets signed into law. House Bill 4110 would allow all honorably discharged veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces or National Guard who are totally and permanently disabled as a result of a service-related disability to be fully exempt from property taxes on their principal residence. The exemption would extend to a veteran’s spouse who has not remarried. The Bill is now in the Michigan House for consideration.
