DETROIT (WKZO) -- Chevrolet is updating the Malibu mid-size sedan for 2014 as they try to increase sales in a very competitive auto segment.
The new features include improvements to the 2.5-liter four cylinder engine that will improve fuel economy by three-percent in city driving and five-percent on the highway. The car will also have start-stop technology that will turn the motor off when stopped and resume when the driver accelerates.
The redesigned Malibu made its debut in 2013 but has lagged in sales behind the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, and Ford Fusion. The new vehicle should be in showrooms this fall.
